The College recognizes the Doctor of Osteopathy degree granted by American Osteopathic Association-accredited osteopathic schools as equivalent to the degree in medicine granted by accredited medical schools in Canada or the United States.

Certificate of Registration for Postgraduate Education >>

In Ontario, in order to be granted a Certificate of Registration for Postgraduate Education, candidates must begin by applying to the CPSO for a certificate of registration authorizing enrolment in a Pre-Entry Assessment Program (PEAP) that must be between four and twelve weeks in duration.

If PEAP is completed successfully, the College issues a Postgraduate Education Certificate authorizing enrolment in a residency. The CPSO will initiate the process to access the national certification examinations to obtain formal certification upon successful completion of the training.
