Facilities
There are fifty-one health facilities in New Brunswick. All are organized through one of
eight Regional Health Authorities. All recruitment of physicians, whether for direct
employment or independent practice, is done by a Regional Health Authority. Furthermore,
in order to bill Medicare, the physician must have privileges with the Regional Health
Authority. In other words, to practice in New Brunswick, physicians must have
credentials acceptable to both the College and a Regional Health Authority.
